Fire Star
The Fire Star 1 is a fireproof data safe, certified to EN 1143-1 Grade 1 for burglary resistance and fire-tested for 60 minutes to a data standard — cool and dry enough inside for tapes, disks and drives, not only paper. One size, 23 litres.
Data-rated fire protection
A data rating is a stricter test than a paper rating: magnetic and optical media are damaged at far lower temperatures than paper, and by humidity as well as heat, so a data safe has to hold both down for the full test. Burglary resistance is independently tested to EN 1143-1 and certified by VdS and ECB•S in Germany. What you can insure inside depends on your policy and your market, so confirm the sum with your insurer.
Choosing your Fire Star
One size, 646 × 596 × 555 mm, holding 23 litres — enough for a working set of backup media rather than an archive. Available with a key lock or a 9-user electronic code lock, in Graphite Grey RAL 7024. A movable shelf is included, the door opens through 180 degrees on internal hinges, and the safe ships with floor anchor points. For more data capacity, the Fire Star Plus range runs to 189 litres with a 120-minute data rating.
